Recovery rehearsals fail quietly. Everyone agrees the map makes sense until someone must find B-04 under time pressure.
How we structure a rehearsal
We announce a scenario: primary device unavailable, secondary backup required within thirty minutes. You navigate the map; we time retrieval and note hesitations. PIN entry stays private — we only confirm you reached the correct device or envelope.
Who should attend
At minimum, two adults who share custody responsibility. Adult children involved in estate planning should attend once. We discourage spectators who will not operate backups — noise slows retrieval.
Typical findings
Misplaced pouches after cleaning staff visits. Labels swapped when two identical envelopes were refilled. Off-site backups still listed at previous addresses. These are fixable the same day if map copies are available.
Frequency
Annual for most households; semi-annual when device count exceeds six or after any move. Retainer clients schedule during their included review.
